I wasn't there, I know nothing.

Meg Lasswell writes about comics sometimes. She'll also be your friend, if you bring her coffee.

"Cat and Girl" is excellent today. It features the sort of musing that is never far from my mind, namely on the relative worth of my own small moments. If a life begins and ends in the world, leaving no trace of its passing, was it ever really lived at all? I enjoy small moments. I collect them, as some people collect shoes or cars or, you know, things. But after another rainy Sunday spent nursing a headache and reading comics, I really wonder if I'm living, or just passing time. I know there's more to life than coziness and contentment, but they're awfully nice. Maybe too nice. Sometimes I catch myself dreaming of things I'll do, places I'll go or have gone. I live more in the past and future than the present, which is not a particularly good thing.

And then I write random, cerebral posts to my blog, but I never actually fix stuff >_<

Ooooog. I was really going to write something today, really I was, but my eyesight's been fading rapidly and I read all morning, so now I have a headache that's making all the words on the screen go funny. So instead of posting, Ima go make an optometrist appointment. You understand, right?

What? Here, you whiners, here is a picture for you to contemplate:

Do you think it'd be worth any potential legal consequences to steal produce from a grocery store just so you could tell the cop, "Officer, I was only taking a leek"?

The girl who made my painting has her own webcomic, which I realized with horror is not one of the ones linked here. I'll fix that. "Patches" is the comic, and it is a cutie. Be sure to check out the "Safety Tips".

Things of note

I bought a painting. It was expensive. How expensive, I'm not saying. I can afford it, though. It's called "Bird Keeper."

I invented a word:
sneeze bishop: (n) A designated bestower of sneeze blessings. "My office is next to Nathan's, so I always end up his sneeze bishop."

"A Lesson Is Learned But the Damage Is Irreversible" is excellent today. This one may be my favorite so far.

I'm writing a story about a woman named Melina, who can see how people will die.
